I am experiencing pain in my left hand, wrist, and fingers, with difficulty moving my fingers. There is slight pain in my right hand and in the middle three toes of my left foot, along with left knee pain that causes a grinding sound during movement and difficulty climbing stairs. I also feel a burning sensation in my feet and neck pain when turning left or right. My blood tests for rheumatoid arthritis and gout came back negative. I do not drink alcohol or smoke, and I am slightly overweight. Despite this, some doctors are suggesting it might be rheumatoid arthritis, but I am confused given my test results. I would like guidance on what could be causing these symptoms and what steps I should take next.

Symptoms suggest inflammatory arthritis despite negative RA and gout tests. Other possibilities include seronegative arthritis or fibromyalgia. Further tests like ANA or HLA B27 may help. Rheumatology follow up is advised.

Dear Doctor, A patient aged 70 has been experiencing continuous pain and swelling in the upper right foot and toes for the past month. There is no history of diabetes or high blood pressure. Recent investigations show: Blood report: normal, X-ray: normal, Vitamin D: normal, Uric acid: normal and NCV (both lower limbs): normal.
