I feel as if my heart is tired and suffocated. I cannot stand or do any activity without feeling weary and tired. My heart rate shoots up easily. I just had 2 sandwiches and now I feel increased palpitations, as if my heart is sinking down to my stomach. I had an echo in October where my EF was 60 percent and everything was normal. The cardiologist recommended vitamin D shots and some multivitamins. I wanted a repeat echo done because I need to go for a wedding for 10 to 15 days and wanted peace of mind, but the doctor said it is not needed so early. Please tell me what I should do now?

Since your echo was normal with an EF of 60 percent, your heart function is good, and your doctors advice to wait before repeating it is reasonable. Palpitations and tiredness after meals can happen due to anxiety, acidity, or post meal blood flow changes. Continue your vitamin D shots, multivitamins, hydration, and small frequent meals. Avoid heavy, oily meals before travel. If symptoms worsen with chest pain, severe breathlessness, or fainting, seek urgent care. You can book a CBC and Electrolytes test to check for anemia or imbalance.

Vidhi was diagnosed with anaemia by a local doctor. He prescribed Bizfer XT tablet and Zincovit tablet. After taking the medicines, she got fever and weakness. The local doctor then prescribed Rabeprazole gastro resistant tablet IP 20 mg and Macleods. But in the recent blood report, she is having RBCs showing mild hypochromic, microcytic.
