I had intercourse on 22nd, and during a checkup on 27th, the doctor said that the egg had already ruptured. What are the chances of getting pregnant, and when should I take a pregnancy test?

If you had intercourse on 22nd and your doctor confirmed egg rupture on 27th, the chances of pregnancy depend on sperm survival and timing around ovulation. Sperm can live in the body for up to 5 days, so there may still be a chance of conception. You can take a urine pregnancy test around 14 days after ovulation or if your period is delayed. If unsure, a serum beta hCG test can confirm pregnancy earlier and accurately.

View allMy periods are 4 days late, and I have cloudy discharge. I did a pregnancy test yesterday, which was negative. My last intercourse was on 31st August, after which I got my period. Last month has been very stressful, with on and off fever, cough, extreme emotional stress, and sleepless nights due to personal issues. Could these factors be the reason for my delayed period?
