I had a postprandial blood sugar (PPBS) test 2 hours after a meal, and the result was 250. Can you explain why this level is high? Also, can I take fish oil (Omega 3) for cholesterol management?

A PPBS of 250 is high, indicating high post meal blood sugar, possibly diabetes or poor sugar control. It can increase due to high carb meals, low activity, or insulin resistance. Focus on low carb, high fiber meals and regular exercise. For cholesterol, Omega 3 fish oil can help, but check with your doctor as it does not lower blood sugar. Do Fasting Blood Sugar, HbA1c, and Lipid Profile for a full assessment.

View allMy name is M. A. Shafique. I have been dealing with high blood pressure for the past 2 years. I was also previously hospitalized for fluid in the lungs and slow heart function, but I have recovered. Recently, I had a blood sugar test with the following results: Fasting blood sugar: 170 mg/dl Post lunch blood sugar: 281 mg/dl Could you please help me understand these results? Do they indicate diabetes?

Hello Doctor, I am 56 years old and have been taking Gemy M2 for diabetes for the past 5 years, which has kept my condition under control. Yesterday, my post lunch blood sugar was 300 mg/dL and fasting was 200 mg/dL. Can I take IME 9 along with my regular medication? Please advise.
