I had sex with a prostitute 20 days ago, and the condom broke. Yesterday I developed a fever and visited a physician. After taking the prescribed medicine, my fever subsided within a day, but I still have a sore throat. Could this be related to HIV? Can I get an HIV 1 and 2 antibody screening test done and will it be reliable at this stage? Please advise, as I am extremely anxious.

HIV symptoms are non specific, sore throat and fever are not enough to confirm. You can take an HIV 1 and 2 Antibody Test now. Best results after 28 days. Repeat at 4 to 6 weeks if needed.

View allI had unprotected sex with an unknown partner 65 days ago. Today, I did an HIV 1 and 2 antibody test, which came back negative. I do not have any symptoms related to HIV, but I have had allergic throat irritation and acne problems for the past year. Am I safe from HIV, and is this test conclusive at this stage?

Doctor, I had a proviral DNA test done 55 days after exposure, and the result was negative. Do I still need any further testing? I am getting married next month and want to be sure.

After 10 weeks (70 days) of unprotected sex with a sex worker, I took a 4th generation HIV assay test at SRL Lab, and the result was non reactive. How safe am I from HIV after 90 days? Is there any chance that the HIV test could become positive after 90 days? Can the SRL Lab report at 70 days be considered reliable? I have attached the report for reference.
