I had sex with a prostitute 20 days ago, and the condom broke. Yesterday I developed a fever and visited a physician. After taking the prescribed medicine, my fever subsided within a day, but I still have a sore throat. Could this be related to HIV? Can I get an HIV 1 and 2 antibody screening test done and will it be reliable at this stage? Please advise, as I am extremely anxious.

HIV symptoms are non specific, sore throat and fever are not enough to confirm. You can take an HIV 1 and 2 Antibody Test now. Best results after 28 days. Repeat at 4 to 6 weeks if needed.

After potential HIV exposure, I have done multiple HIV tests over 9 months, and all results were negative. My reports for the past three months are as follows 0.2 s/co, 0.2 s/co, and Antibody + p24 antigen test by ECL method is 0.2 s/co. Do I need to undergo any further HIV testing, or are these results conclusive?
