I have a 9mm full thickness ACL tear and need surgery - what type of specialist should I see for this procedure? I'm a bit unsure whether to go with an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine or a general orthopedic surgeon since they both seem to handle ACL repairs

for an orthopedic specialist if necessary. Make sure that your doctor is medically qualified to treat your ACL tear completely. ACL tear repair treatment and surgery are performed by experienced orthopedic surgeons, so general or family practitioners aren't ideal for treatment.

My MRI shows bone marrow contusions in both femur and tibia condyles with moderate synovial effusion, a grade 2 ACL tear, horizontal tear in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, and grade 1 MCL sprain. I've been doing quad and ROM exercises at home for almost 2 months do I really need surgery or can I keep managing this without going under the knife

I've been having a lot of back pain lately, and sometimes it spreads to my hip. I cant sit for more than 15 minutes or walk for more than 30 minutes without the pain kicking in. This all started just 25 days ago, and I can't help but worry about how long itll take for me to get better. Plus, I'm concerned about how this might affect a future pregnancy. Could you give me some insight into what might be going on and what I should do?
It sounds like you may be experiencing muscle strain or a posture-related issue, which is common but can cause discomfort. Since it's been ongoing for 25 days, I recommend seeing a doctor for a thorough evaluation to rule out any underlying conditions. With proper treatment, this shouldn't affect your pregnancy, but early intervention is key to a quicker recovery.
