I've been dealing with a sprained ankle for about 18 days now and there's still some swelling. I saw an ortho who checked the X-rays and said there's no fracture, just a sprain. He gave me Dolanzen and Lormoto for two weeks. The pain's better, but I'm still having trouble walking and there's some swelling left. How long does it usually take to fully heal from a sprain like this? Do you think the meds I'm on are okay? What can I do to get rid of the remaining swelling?

These typically involve either shortening the longer leg or lengthening the shorter leg. If the calcaneus is abnormally wide due to a fracture or other condition, surgery to reshape the bone might be an option, but this is a distinct procedure from leg lengthening or shortening

I've had shoulder bursitis for 6 months from a lifting injury and been on a lot of NSAIDs and anti-inflammatory meds. My doctor says it's chronic now and needs surgery. How risky is the surgery and how long until I can recover and get back to training?

This condition may require clinical evaluation to determine the exact cause and treatment. Some cases can be managed conservatively, while others may need surgical intervention depending on size, symptoms, and severity. Regular follow-up is important to monitor progress.
