I have been diagnosed with a low fever, less than 99.6, for the past two months. After blood tests, results indicated low hemoglobin, low MCV, MCH, and MCHC, and high RDW. I have attached liver profile test, urine analysis, thyroid, and CBC reports. I was prescribed Livogen, calcium, and magnesium tablets. After three days of taking these tablets, my fever spiked to 100. I am eating better and feel better overall, except for the fever. I do not have fatigue.

Your blood reports show mild iron deficiency anemia, which explains the low grade fever and abnormal blood values. The fever spike after starting treatment can happen as the body responds. Feeling better and eating more is a good sign. Continue Livogen and supplements as advised. A repeat CBC after 2 to 3 weeks will show progress.

My recent blood report shows: WBC: 171,770 cells/cmm Hemoglobin: 9.1 g/dL RBC: 2.60 million/cmm Blasts: 60% I am also experiencing gum swelling and bleeding. Please advise what could be the reason for the increased WBC count, and which specialist should I consult for further evaluation.

I recently had a blood test for Typhidot IgM, and the result came back reactive, but I never experienced fever or other typical typhoid symptoms. I have started taking medicines, but now I feel weak and dizzy. Could you please explain what a reactive Typhidot IgM result means? Does it definitely mean I have typhoid? What should I do next?
