I have been experiencing muscle pain in my calves for a long time, especially in the morning. My calcium levels were normal when tested, but my doctor suggested that the problem may be due to calcium and vitamin D deficiency and prescribed supplements. After taking the supplements, I feel better. Could this still be due to calcium deficiency even though my test results were normal?

Even with normal blood calcium levels, the body can experience deficiency symptoms due to poor absorption. If calf pain improves with calcium and Vitamin D supplements, then mild functional deficiency is likely. You can continue supplementation as advised by your doctor. Ensure good hydration and check Vitamin D again after 2 to 3 months. Also, stretch legs before sleep. If pain returns after stopping supplements, consult an orthopedist.

View allI experience pain in both legs when standing for a long time, and feel a constant strain while moving. My doctor recommended Calcaria Phos 6X and 4X, 3 tablets each, to be taken for 3 months. After starting the medication, I feel better. How long should I continue taking Calcaria Phos to maintain normal calcium levels? I have not done a blood test yet, can I get my calcium level checked after 1 month? Please advise.
