1:160 may indicate recent or past exposure but not conclusive for typhoid. With symptoms, antibiotics may be justified. If symptoms persist or worsen, stool and blood cultures are more reliable.

My Widal report shows S. Paratyphi A from 1/20 to 1/160 are all positive, S. Typhi H and O are positive at 1/20, and S. Paratyphi B is negative. All other sections are negative.
