I have cervical spine PIVD at C5-C6 with compression of the left C6 root causing severe left arm pain. My left thumb and half of my arm feel weak and inactive. Are there any effective non-surgical treatments that could help with this?

Yes, there are several effective non-surgical treatments for cervical spine PIVD (prolapse of intervertebral disc) at C5-C6 with compression of the left C6 nerve root, especially if the left arm pain, thumb and arm weakness, and inactive feeling are your main concerns. These include physical therapy, medications, and potentially epidural injections.

View allI'm really concerned about this intense burning sensation my dad is experiencing throughout his entire body. It seems to get worse at night, to the point where he finds it unbearable. He's already taking medication for a prostate issue, high cholesterol, and a sleep aid, plus blood pressure medicine. We've found out his calcium, potassium, and sodium levels are really low. I'm really worried because the blood carrying nerve to the brain is blocked. I'm experiencing symptoms like blurred vision, a severe headache, slurred speech, and mild unconsciousness. Do you think surgery is necessary in this situation?
The symptoms described, including blurred vision, severe headache, slurred speech, and mild unconsciousness, indicate a potential medical emergency, such as a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), due to a blockage in the blood vessels supplying the brain; immediate medical attention is crucial, and surgery may be necessary, but a thorough evaluation by a neurologist or neurosurgeon is required to determine the best course of treatment.

Ive been having trouble sleeping in my bed because my body gets totally numb. Its gotten to the point where Ive started sleeping on the floor instead. But even when I use a soft pillow, my head still goes numb. Is there any way to fix this? I'm really worried about what's going on.
Numbness in any part of body indicates some involvement of nerves. It could be due to bad posture or nerve compression. If it is due to improper posture, it will resolve with correction of posture. If numbness is persistent, Consult a Neurospine specialist.
