I have a cylindrical power of 0.75 with a 180-degree axis in my right eye and in my left eye, it's sph 0.25 with cyl 0.75 and a 180-degree axis. My friends say wearing glasses can make my problem worse should I consider surgery for this?

I'm currently using cylindrical glasses with a power of 2.75 in my left eye and 1.25 in the right. Is there any surgery that can fix this issue permanently so I don't need glasses anymore?
Yes, there are surgical options like LASIK or SMILE that can correct cylindrical power (astigmatism) and reduce or eliminate the need for glasses. A detailed corneal mapping and eye evaluation by an ophthalmologist is necessary to determine if you're a suitable candidate.

I just had my Lasik preliminary testing done with Dr Anagha Heroor in Dombivli East and the reports look good. The doctor said I'm a suitable candidate for Lasik but I'm a bit unsure should I go ahead with the surgery now or wait a few years since I'll be pursuing MBA and other courses soon? I don't have any major health issues like diabetes or asthma and I'm not on any regular meds. Would love to hear other ophthalmologists' opinions based on my test reports
