I have had fever and headache since yesterday. My doctor tested my blood and found that my WBC count is elevated (12,200). I have been taking the prescribed medicine, but the fever and headache have not improved. What should I do?

Fever with headache and high WBC (12,200) suggests infection, possibly viral or bacterial. If fever and headache continue, do a Malaria Test, Dengue NS1 Antigen, and CRP to rule out serious infections. Keep drinking fluids, take rest, and continue medicines as advised. If you develop severe headache, neck stiffness, vomiting, or breathlessness, go to the hospital immediately.

Hi Doctor, I have been experiencing headache, eye pain, fever, stomach pain, red skin spots, body pain, leg pain, and occasional nosebleeds. Four days ago, I consulted a doctor, underwent a CBC test, and was told it was viral fever. However, now I have noticed red skin spots and rare nosebleeds, which are making me concerned. I would like to know if this could be dengue or just viral fever, and whether dengue is curable. I have attached my CBC report (done 4 days ago) along with the prescriptions I am currently taking. Please advise if the current treatment is sufficient or if I should undergo further tests or treatment.

I have been experiencing fever for the past 3 days, along with muscle and back pain, cold, and headache. On the first day, an MBBS doctor prescribed Cefixime and Cetrizine + Phenylephrine. On the third day, I had a lab test, which showed: RBC, PCV, and platelet counts slightly below normal No parasites detected Could you please advise what these results indicate and if any further treatment or investigations are needed?
