I have kidney stone. What should I do other than operation?

One can increase water intake along with lemon juice. You are recommended to drink 12 glasses of water in a day to speed up the stone passing process. However, if your stone size is more than 7mm then you may need surgical intervention.

View allI had a 6 mm kidney stone earlier and suffered severe pain with it. After drinking a lot of water, the stone passed into the urinary bladder and eventually the pain disappeared. Now after 6 months, I have dark colored urine and my report shows 15 to 20 red blood cells per high power field, but I have no pain and no fever. The urine culture report is negative. What might be the problem?

My dad is 85 years old. He has been complaining that after passing urine, he does not feel comfortable and shivers afterward. His report shows serum creatinine 1.2 mg/dl. His kidneys are normal, and the bladder has a 3.3 cm faceted mobile stone. Premicturition volume is 194 cc, and postmicturition volume is nil. His prostate is 37 gm. Kindly advise? Thank you.
