i have a lipoma and not sure who to see for this should i go to a general doctor or a specialist also is it usually treated with surgery or are there other options like medicines that can help

I have a hernia in my upper right groin that seems to be either femoral or inguinal. I really don't want surgery but I've heard it's the only option. The bulge isn't always there it only shows up when there's pressure. Are there any other treatments or remedies that could help heal it? Could homeopathy work for this?

My 9-month-old daughter has a large umbilical hernia that goes back in when she's calm but the doctor said to wait 34 months before considering surgery. I'm really worried about it will it go away on its own or is surgery usually needed?
