I have a lymphocyte percentage of 41.5, a total RBC count of 6.47, hemoglobin level of 18.6 g/dL, and a hematocrit (PCV) of 52.08 percent. All these values are above the reference range mentioned in the report. Should I be concerned about these results?

Your lymphocytes (41.5 percent) are mildly high, which may indicate a recent viral infection but is not alarming alone. RBC (6.47), Hemoglobin (18.6), and Hematocrit (52.08 percent) are high, which may indicate dehydration or polycythemia. Increase water intake and recheck after hydration. If persistently high, evaluation for polycythemia is needed, especially if you have headaches, dizziness, or redness. You can book a CBC repeat with Serum Erythropoietin level and Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) to assess further.

More COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT (CBC) Health Queries
View allDear Doctor, I had tonsillitis last week, and my WBC was 17x10000/L. After taking the prescribed medication and no longer experiencing a sore throat last Thursday, I repeated my blood test on Tuesday, and my WBC has decreased to 13x10000/L. Although it has come down, it is still above the normal range. Could you please advise if this rate of reduction is normal and whether I should be concerned?

I am feeling fever, chills in the body, tiredness, and gastric issues for the last 10 days. As per doctor suggestion I went for CBC and Widal test. Platelet count is 550, monocytes are 12:20, and all other CBC report is good. I am attaching the Widal test report. Is it typhoid fever or something else?
