I have myopia with minus one power in my right eye and I've been hearing about laser eye surgery. Can myopia really be completely corrected with this procedure? If yes, what age would you recommend for getting it done and what's the success rate like? Also, since I've heard myopia can be hereditary, how can I prevent it from affecting my child?

View alli want to get lasik surgery but im 22 is this the right age for it or should i wait also what tips should i keep in mind before going for the procedure
For the majority of the population, the ideal age range for LASIK surgery falls between 20 and 40 years. However, there is no upper limit for lasik provided the eye is healthy and does not have any other associated conditions(as discussed further)

Had PRK surgery 5 months ago and my right eye is fine but my left eye stays blurry unless I use lubricant drops - vision gets clear for a bit then goes back to being fuzzy. My left eye is at 69 before drops. Why does it keep doing this and is it normal after PRK?
It's normal to experience some degree of blurred vision after PRK surgery, especially if the vision is fluctuating and improving with lubricant drops. However, five months post-surgery, it's important to investigate why this persists and discuss it with your eye doctor. While individual healing rates can vary, persistent blurriness and dependence on drops warrant further evaluation.

will the medical examiners be able to tell if i had lasik surgery done when i go for my recruitment tests i'm worried they might notice my eyes were corrected
During a recruitment medical exam, LASIK surgery typically won't be noticeable unless it's recent. Most examiners won’t detect past LASIK unless they specifically test for vision correction history.
