I have a scar on my cornea from a deep abrasion, right in front of the pupil area, but my vision is at 69. I've been using Flarex and Vel eye drops for two months will this heal completely or is PTK surgery needed? The doctor said it might be from a childhood injury, but I'm worried about how long recovery will take or if the scar will affect my vision permanently.

Corneal scarring from a deep abrasion may improve over time with treatment. If your vision remains affected, PTK surgery might be an option. However, recovery depends on the severity of the scar.
