I have skipped my periods this month and I am sexually active. There was a day when I saw some blood and after that there has been no sign, and I have not got my period. I did a urine pregnancy test and it was negative. There was a time when I had unprotected sex but I took a pill immediately the next day. Why is this happening? Is it normal?

Emergency contraceptive pills can delay or disrupt your period for that cycle. Light bleeding or spotting after the pill is common and usually not a full period. A negative urine pregnancy test after 21 days from sex is reliable. Your hormones may take 2 to 4 weeks to settle post pill.

I am currently four days late on my period. I took a pregnancy test, but it was negative. I noticed slight cramping a few days before I was supposed to get my period, and I also have slight pain in my side that started recently after being two days late. Should I retest since my period still has not come?

Hi doctor, we have been married for seven years. We do not have children. After two years, this month my period is delayed by 36 days. I took a home pregnancy test today and it shows negative. I am suffering from severe back pain and hip pain. Is there any possibility of pregnancy? I am having slight pain like menstrual pain.
