I initially had a sinus headache, which gradually disappeared. After that, I have been having a fever for over 15 days. My urine test is normal, and my CBC blood report shows a marginally low platelet count of 1.49 lakh. The doctor prescribed only Paracetamol, which provides temporary relief for a few hours. Doctor, what could be the cause of this prolonged fever? I do not have any other symptoms besides fever and fatigue.

Marginal thrombocytopenia and prolonged fever may point to viral infection or dengue. Please take Dengue NS1, CRP and Platelet repeat count. Take these to confirm the cause.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a DENGUE NS1 ANTIGEN Test or Take a C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP) - QUANTITATIVE Test

View allI recently did an NS1 dengue test, which came out negative. Unsatisfied with the result, I repeated the test at a different clinic, and it showed a Dengue NS1 Antigen ratio of 3.5. All other parameters, such as platelet count and blood pressure, are normal. Can someone explain what this result means in detail, and what steps I should take next?
