I just found out I have an ovarian cyst from an ultrasound two days ago and I'm really worried about it. Is there any way to treat it without surgery? What are my options if I want to avoid going under the knife?

Yes, many ovarian cysts can be managed without surgery. A common approach is "watchful waiting," where your doctor will monitor the cyst with follow-up ultrasounds. In some cases, medications like birth control pills or other hormone treatments may be prescribed to prevent new cysts from forming or to manage symptoms. Home remedies like pain relief and heat therapy can also help ease symptom

I'm feeling some pain after fingering my vagina yesterday. Now it hurts when I walk or when I pee, and there's this dull pain in my lower abdomen. Could you suggest any tablets or remedies to help ease this pain?

It sounds like you might be experiencing irritation or inflammation, which can occur after vigorous activity. I recommend seeing a doctor to rule out any infection or injury, but in the meantime, taking an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen (if you're not allergic) may help reduce the discomfort. Drink plenty of water, and avoid any further irritation.

I've been feeling a little uneasy and could use some advice. I had intercourse with my fianc on January 7th, and we used protection, but it leaked. To be safe, I took an i-pill about an hour later because I didn't want to risk getting pregnant. My last period started on December 31st and ended on January 4th, so we did it just a few days after my period ended. I got some bleeding on January 12th, which I think might be withdrawal bleeding. I've been drinking ajwain with kala namak and warm water every night to try and induce my period. Now it's February 2nd, and I'm noticing my breasts feel heavy, there's slight pain in my legs, and I've seen some bleeding when I pee, but the bleeding on the pad is really light compared to my usual periods. I took a pregnancy test yesterday, and it was negative, but I'm worried about this light bleeding. Why is it so different from my usual periods?

It sounds like you're experiencing irregular bleeding, which could be due to hormonal changes after taking the I-pill or stress. The negative pregnancy test is reassuring, but it's important to monitor your symptoms. If the bleeding persists or worsens, or if you're concerned, it's best to consult your doctor for further evaluation.

I have a 4.4cm functional follicular cyst on my left ovary with benign features but my periods have been irregular and frequent happening twice recently Will this cyst resolve on its own or do I need surgery

A functional follicular cyst of this size is likely to resolve on its own. It's common for them to disappear within a few months, and your doctor may recommend a "wait-and-see" approach with a follow-up ultrasound to monitor its size. If the cyst doesn't resolve or if you experience symptoms like pain or pelvic fullness, surgery might be considered. Surgery is also recommended if the cyst is very large or if there's suspicion of a more complex cyst
