I need to have a double check on a blood test CBC. My baby is 10 months old. The platelet count is 800,000. Earlier a UTI was diagnosed and the baby was on antibiotics.

A platelet count of 8 lakhs is high (normal: 1.5 to 4.5 lakh). Can happen post infection (UTI), inflammation, or rarely due to bone marrow changes. Monitor count again after 2 to 3 weeks. No urgent treatment needed if baby is active and other reports are normal. Repeat CBC and CRP to rule out inflammation. consultation a doctor if needed.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test

View allMy recent routine blood test shows a platelet count of 130,000. As per my test report from August, it was 140,000. In the meantime, I had a slipped disc, which is now fine. Is the declining platelet count related to that, or could it be a sign of another problem? I have attached my hematology report for reference.

My wife is suffering from dengue as per the test report, but I am unable to confirm if the report is correct. The doctor has prescribed Grenil tablet. I do not know if this medicine is appropriate. I am attaching the report here. Please advise what to do, whether the reports are okay, what her platelet count is, and if the medicine is effective or not?
