I've been dealing with a fistula in ano for about a week now and my doctor mentioned surgery might be the only option. Is there any alternative treatment or something else I can try before going for surgery? I'm a bit nervous about the procedure and recovery
Mild fistulas can be managed by Ksharasutra, VAAFT, or sitz baths. But most chronic cases need surgery. MRI fistulogram can help plan the best approach.
