I noticed a black bump in my butt about a week ago and it's still there. Is this something that can go away on its own or do I need to see a doctor? It doesn't hurt much but the color worries me. Can it be treated without surgery?

It could be a thrombosed external hemorrhoid or cyst. If painless, warm compresses and observation help. See a doctor if it persists or changes.

View allI'm trying to deal with some acne scars, and my dermatologist recommended nirvalyte gel. But unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere. Do you have any suggestions for other treatments? The pigmentation is just a bit, but the scars are more of the pitting type. I'm curious if there's something else that might help!
You can consider using a topical retinoid cream such as Retin-A (tretinoin) gel. Apply a pea-sized amount to the affected areas at night. Additionally, you can also try using a vitamin C serum to help with pigmentation. Make sure to use a sunscreen during the day to protect your skin. If these treatments do not show significant improvement, you may consider procedures like microdermabrasion or laser therapy after consulting with a dermatologist.
