I recently had a lipid profile test, and the results are: HDL: 38 mg/dL LDL: 120 mg/dL Triglycerides: 169 mg/dL Non HDL: 153 mg/dL Are these results okay? What can I do to increase HDL and lower LDL? Please guide me.

HDL is low and LDL borderline high. Increase exercise, use olive oil, avoid fried food. Eat nuts, oats, and flaxseed to improve HDL.

My recent blood report shows HDL 30 and LDL 240. Is this alarming? I have started a proper diet to increase HDL and reduce LDL from a week. How effective is this in improving my cholesterol levels, and what more should I do?
