I recently had surgery to remove a cyst near my front tooth in the upper jawline, and the bone in that area has melted. How long does it usually take for the bone to regenerate after something like this? Also, what are the chances of the cyst coming back and is there anything I can do to prevent it from recurring?

I had a mucocele removed by minor surgery 4 months ago but now there's a red spot left. It doesn't hurt but I'm wondering if this is normal or if I should see a specialist. Which type of doctor is best for checking this? Could it be dangerous if left untreated?
