I recently had a thyroid test, and my results are: TSH: 6 microIU/mL T3: 0.87 ng/mL T4: 5.83 microgram/dL Does this indicate hypothyroidism? Can my TSH, T3, and T4 levels return to normal without taking medication? If so, how many months might it take to achieve this naturally, and what steps should I follow?

Your TSH of 6 with low normal T3 and T4 suggests subclinical or mild hypothyroidism. If you have no major symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, or mood issues, you can try natural management for 3 to 6 months. Focus on a balanced diet, selenium-rich foods, stress control, exercise, and early sleep. Some people normalize without medicine, but others may need treatment later. Retest TSH, T3, and T4 after 3 months to assess progress.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a Thyroid Profile (T3 T4 TSH) Test Test or Take a THYROID PEROXIDASE ANTIBODIES (ANTI MICROSOMAL ANTIBODIES) Test

View allHello Doctor, I am a thyroid patient (hypothyroidism) and take my medication regularly. However, I have been experiencing severe hyperpigmentation, and it seems to be worsening day by day. Could you please advise on the possible causes and what can be done to manage it?

A female patient aged 22 years is in the second trimester and her T3 is 1.90 and T4 is 16. I have attached the lab report also. What is the treatment and is Thyronorm 25 mcg okay or should the dose be increased? Kindly help. Thanks in advance.

I did my thyroid test last week for the first time because my body weight is not reducing even after hard exercise. My blood test shows T3 and T4 are normal, but TSH level is increased to 21. How can I reduce it?
