I recently had a urine test showing 6 to 10 pus cells. Today, I noticed an extra mass of skin near my anus, which is also painful. Could this be something serious, or is it related to a urinary tract infection? Please advise.

Could be anal abscess or hemorrhoid, not directly linked to UTI. Needs physical examination. Warm sitz baths and pain relief advised till then.

Hi, my wife and I went on a 12 days international vacation and were scheduled to go for our 12 week pregnancy scan immediately after returning. We had a long international flight and got the scan and urine test immediately. While the NT scan and other reports are fine, the urine report shows 6 to 8 pus cells with a urine pH of 8. Is this possibly due to temporary dehydration from travel or is it something more serious? My wife does not have any other symptoms and is fine. We are asking this since we can only meet our doctor in a wee time. Thanks.

My grandma had her routine blood checkup in which her urine report shows pus cells 15 to 20 per hpf. She does not have any complaints except occasional urinary incontinence for which she is taking Ayurvedic medicine. What does the presence of pus cells indicate?
