I recently took a vitamin D3 test and my results came insufficient. I want to know the proper dosage for increasing it above 40 ng/ml?

Vitamin D insufficiency is common and can be corrected with supplements. Typical treatment includes Vitamin D3 60,000 IU once weekly for 6 to 8 weeks, then once monthly for maintenance. Take the tablet with a meal containing healthy fats for better absorption. Regular sunlight exposure for 15 to 20 minutes daily helps maintain levels. After completing your course, repeat Vitamin D test to ensure it has reached above 40 ng/ml.

Take a 25-HYDROXY VITAMIN D (D2+D3) Test or Take a PARATHYROID HORMONE (INTACT PTH) Test

View allMy recent blood test shows a Vitamin D level of 12.08 ng/mL, while my serum calcium level is normal at 10 mg/dL. Should I take only a Vitamin D supplement, or a combination of Vitamin D with calcium? Please advise. I have attached my report for reference.

I recently had a Vitamin D test, and the result came out to 3.4 ng/mL (very low). My Vitamin B12 levels are normal, but calcium was not tested. My weight is 42 kg and height is 156 cm.

I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis with liver cirrhosis in 2015. I weigh 65 kg and am taking Omnacortil 10 mg and Azoran 50 mg. I often feel nauseated and full, and I have not been able to gain weight. Recent reports show no signs of cirrhosis, but autoimmune hepatitis persists. Blood tests reveal a vitamin D deficiency. I experience constant muscle weakness and pain in my leg muscles and bones. Is this situation serious? How can I recover from the vitamin D deficiency, and what steps should I take to improve my muscle strength and overall health?
