I tore my ACL on July 11 but my lifestyle is pretty normal since I'm just a student do I really need surgery for this or can I manage without it

I've had back pain for about a year now and my X-ray showed spondylolysis at L5-S1. I've heard about chiropractic care but I'm really not keen on surgery. What would you recommend as the best treatment option for this?

Living in a 20-story apartment building, I use the stairs twice a day as exercise that's 40 floors or around 500 steps. It's convenient for me as a working mom, but people keep warning me it could lead to knee replacement issues later. Is climbing stairs really that bad for my knees? Could it cause long-term damage?
