I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem before my pregnancy. I was on medication throughout that period, taking Thyronorm 12.5 mcg. Post-delivery, my blood report showed that my TSH was normal, so I stopped the medicine. Now I checked again, and it shows that my TSH is 6.34. Please advise whether I should continue the same medicine at the same dosage?

TSH is slightly high. Thyroid may worsen post pregnancy. Restart Thyronorm after doctor consult. Monitor levels.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a TSH Test (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Test or Take a THYROID PEROXIDASE ANTIBODIES (ANTI MICROSOMAL ANTIBODIES) Test

My mother in law was prescribed Thyronorm 50 mcg for hypothyroidism. Should she continue with the same medication? The latest thyroid panel report is as follows: Tri Iodothyronine Total or TT3 0.76 ng per mL, reference range 0.87 to 1.78, Thyroxine Total or TT4 10.960 ug per dL, reference range 6.09 to 12.23; Thyroid Stimulating Hormone 4.676 uIU per mL, reference range 0.34 to 5.60.
