I'm a 32-year-old male, and during a comprehensive test I found out that my Vitamin B12 level is at 1892 pgml. For the past 7 years, I've been taking a combination of methylcobalamin 1500 mcg with pyridoxin and folic acid because my homocysteine levels were high at 15.55. Can you help me understand why my Vitamin B12 level is elevated? Is it okay for me to keep taking these tablets, or could there be any issues with high Vitamin B12 levels? Everything else in my reports looks good. Would love your advice on this.

Sorry to hear that your dad is experiencing gastric problems and body pains.

Raja Khaini (Tobacco) Concerns:

  1. Tobacco toxicity: Raja Khaini contains tobacco, which can cause stomach problems, digestive issues, and other health concerns.
  2. Post-meal consumption: Taking tobacco immediately after meals can exacerbate digestive issues.

Recommended Steps:

  1. Encourage your dad to quit tobacco: Support him in quitting Raja Khaini to alleviate gastric problems.
  2. Consult a gastroenterologist: Schedule an appointment with a specialist to rule out underlying conditions.
  3. Dietary changes: Advise your dad to:
    • Eat smaller, frequent meals
    • Avoid spicy, fatty, or heavy foods
    • Incorporate fiber-rich foods and probiotics
  4. Alternative digestive aids: Consider natural digestive aids like ginger, ajwain, or digestive enzymes.

Persistent Symptoms:

If your dad's symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor to rule out underlying conditions like:

  1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  2. Peptic ulcers
  3. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

Encourage your dad to prioritize his health and seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

I've been having problems with sleep disorders and noticed my skin's looking pretty pale. My doctor suggested I get a CBC, and while my hemoglobin is usually around 11, it dropped to 7.4 this time. The doctor couldn't believe the CBC report and asked me to redo it. The next morning, it went down to 7 with platelets at 629. I also had an abdomen pelvis ultrasound, but everything came back normal. Now, doctors keep passing me off to someone else. What could be going on?

My son's blood group is B positive, and we've got a marriage proposal from a girl whose blood group is O negative. I'm a bit confused and worried about this. Is O negative considered a negative blood group, and is it compatible with my son's B positive? I'd really appreciate your advice on this matter.

Yes there is risk of Rh incompatibility but no need to worry she can get immunised and have a safe pregnancy.

I'm a bit worried because my recent blood test showed eosinophils at 13.7, which I understand is referred to as eosinophilia. Is this something serious? What steps should I take, and are there any particular precautions I should be aware of?
