I'm a 32-year-old male, and during a comprehensive test I found out that my Vitamin B12 level is at 1892 pgml. For the past 7 years, I've been taking a combination of methylcobalamin 1500 mcg with pyridoxin and folic acid because my homocysteine levels were high at 15.55. Can you help me understand why my Vitamin B12 level is elevated? Is it okay for me to keep taking these tablets, or could there be any issues with high Vitamin B12 levels? Everything else in my reports looks good. Would love your advice on this.

Sorry to hear that your dad is experiencing gastric problems and body pains.
Raja Khaini (Tobacco) Concerns:
- Tobacco toxicity: Raja Khaini contains tobacco, which can cause stomach problems, digestive issues, and other health concerns.
- Post-meal consumption: Taking tobacco immediately after meals can exacerbate digestive issues.
Recommended Steps:
- Encourage your dad to quit tobacco: Support him in quitting Raja Khaini to alleviate gastric problems.
- Consult a gastroenterologist: Schedule an appointment with a specialist to rule out underlying conditions.
- Dietary changes: Advise your dad to:
- Eat smaller, frequent meals
- Avoid spicy, fatty, or heavy foods
- Incorporate fiber-rich foods and probiotics
- Alternative digestive aids: Consider natural digestive aids like ginger, ajwain, or digestive enzymes.
Persistent Symptoms:
If your dad's symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor to rule out underlying conditions like:
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Peptic ulcers
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Encourage your dad to prioritize his health and seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

View allI'm really feeling worried because I've been experiencing dizziness that almost led to unconsciousness. So, I did some blood tests like Hb1, TSH, and CBC. Hb1 and TSH results are normal, but my CBC shows an absolute eosinophil count of 854, and I've read it should be within the 20-500 range. Also, my neutrophils are at 30, lymphocytes at 50, and eosinophils at 14. I'm not sure what this all means though, and I'm wondering who would be the best specialist to consult about these results?
Physician opinion is advised to the patient.

I'm a bit worried because my recent test showed my hemoglobin level is 8.6, and I was told that's on the low side. About three months ago, I was fastingcould that be related? Can you suggest ways to boost my hemoglobin level, and what foods should I focus on? Are there any symptoms or serious issues I should be aware of with a level like this? Also, how long does it usually take to see an improvement?
With a hemoglobin level of 8.6, which is below the normal range of 13.5-17.5 gdL for adults, you may experience symptoms like fatigue, weakness, pale skin, and shortness of breath; to improve your hemoglobin level, consume iron-rich foods like spinach, beans, lentils, and fortified cereals, and vitamin C-rich foods like citrus fruits, bell peppers, and tomatoes to enhance iron absorption with proper diet and supplements, you can expect to see improvements in your hemoglobin level within 2-3 months, but regular follow-up blood tests are necessary to monitor progress.

I'm a bit concerned about my lab results. My RDW is 14.7, which I believe is normal, but my eosinophils are at 6.1, and I'm wondering if thats on the higher side since the normal range is 1 to 6. My MPV is 11.7 fL, which seems normal since the range is 7.2 to 11.1. Also, my platelet count is 207,000 and normal, but Im still curious about the eosinophils being slightly elevated. Could this mean something I should be worried about? Any insight would be really helpful.
