I'm a 32-year-old male, and during a comprehensive test I found out that my Vitamin B12 level is at 1892 pgml. For the past 7 years, I've been taking a combination of methylcobalamin 1500 mcg with pyridoxin and folic acid because my homocysteine levels were high at 15.55. Can you help me understand why my Vitamin B12 level is elevated? Is it okay for me to keep taking these tablets, or could there be any issues with high Vitamin B12 levels? Everything else in my reports looks good. Would love your advice on this.

Sorry to hear that your dad is experiencing gastric problems and body pains.
Raja Khaini (Tobacco) Concerns:
- Tobacco toxicity: Raja Khaini contains tobacco, which can cause stomach problems, digestive issues, and other health concerns.
- Post-meal consumption: Taking tobacco immediately after meals can exacerbate digestive issues.
Recommended Steps:
- Encourage your dad to quit tobacco: Support him in quitting Raja Khaini to alleviate gastric problems.
- Consult a gastroenterologist: Schedule an appointment with a specialist to rule out underlying conditions.
- Dietary changes: Advise your dad to:
- Eat smaller, frequent meals
- Avoid spicy, fatty, or heavy foods
- Incorporate fiber-rich foods and probiotics
- Alternative digestive aids: Consider natural digestive aids like ginger, ajwain, or digestive enzymes.
Persistent Symptoms:
If your dad's symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor to rule out underlying conditions like:
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Peptic ulcers
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Encourage your dad to prioritize his health and seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

View allI'm worried about my lymphocyte count, it's at 56 and my hemoglobin is 14.3. A few months ago, my lymphocyte count was around 50. Should I be concerned about the increase? Any advice would be really helpful.
An increase in lymphocytes can be due to various reasons such as infections, stress, inflammation, or even certain medications. Since your hemoglobin (Hb) level is normal at 14.3, it is less likely to be a cause for concern. To address your worries about the high lymphocyte count, I recommend focusing on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, managing stress, and staying hydrated. If you have any symptoms such as persistent fever, unexplained weight loss, or enlarged lymph nodes, it would be advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation. In the meantime, you can consider taking over-the-counter medications like Vitamin C supplements to support your immune system. Additionally, getting regular exercise and ensuring an adequate intake of fruits and vegetables can also help support your overall health.

I recently did a random blood test because I was feeling kind of light-headed, and the results got me a bit worried. My neutrophil count is at 80%, lymphocytes are at 15%, and my total WBC count is 10500. I'm 18, so I'm not sure if these numbers are normal for someone my age. Could you help me understand what this might mean?

I'm a bit puzzled about my platelet count; its consistently between 60,000 and 70,000. Honestly, I feel great, and Ive never had any illnesses like dengue or fever, and I dont take any medications. Im curious why my platelets would be below the minimum range if Im not experiencing any health issues. Could there be something else affecting it that I'm not aware of?
Low platelet count (60K-70K) can occur due to various reasons, even if you're feeling fine. It could be related to factors like genetics, mild immune issues, or your body's natural variation. It's always a good idea to consult a healthcare provider for a thorough check-up to rule out any underlying causes.
