I'm 36 weeks pregnant and they suspect a choledochal cyst in my baby. What does this mean for my baby after birth and what are the treatment options? Does every choledochal cyst need surgery or are there other ways to manage it?

View allI had gallbladder surgery 2 days ago with dissolvable stitches and the bandage is off now. I'm taking antacids but wondering if I should also take antibiotics just to be safe
It's understandable to be concerned about potential infections after surgery, but you should generally only take antibiotics if specifically prescribed by your doctor. Antibiotic use should be guided by your healthcare provider based on their assessment of your individual situation. If you have any concerns about your wound or recovery, it's always best to contact your doctor or other healthcare provider for personalized advice

excision of the cysts is advised to the patient.
