I'm 56 and have had an inguinal hernia on my right lower abdomen for 2 years now. I really want to avoid surgery can ayurvedic or homeopathic treatments help? I live in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh could you suggest the best doctor for this?

While Ayurveda and homeopathy may offer symptom relief, they generally don't cure hernias and may not be a long-term solution for inguinal hernias. Hernias typically require surgery for a permanent fix.

View allWhat's the best treatment for fistula and can it be treated without surgery I'm really worried and looking for the most effective options
The most effective treatment for a fistula is often surgical, but non-surgical options are sometimes available, especially for certain types of fistulas. For anal fistulas, surgical options like fistulotomy, LIFT (Ligation of Intersphincteric Fistula Tract), and flap procedures are common, while non-surgical options include fibrin glue injection, seton placement, and fistula plugs

I have an 11mm supra umbilical hernia and my doctor recommended laparoscopic surgery but I'm confused because it still involves a 15mm incision for the port. Wouldn't open surgery be a better option since the incision size is almost the same? Is my thinking correct medically?
While a 15mm incision for the laparoscopic port might seem comparable to an open surgery, laparoscopic surgery still offers advantages like reduced pain, faster recovery, and potentially lower complication rates. The laparoscopic approach uses multiple small incisions, not just one larger one, and the surgical view provided by the laparoscope can offer precision and potentially less manipulation of surrounding tissues.

I'm trying to find out what the cost of a hernia operation might be at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai or somewhere similar. Also, Im curious about how long someone would need to stay in the hospital afterward. It's all a bit overwhelming, and I just want to get a clear picture of what to expect. Could you help?
Dizziness and blackouts can be concerning, especially after brain tumor surgery. Hisone-5 (Prednisone 5mg) is a steroid medication, and dizziness is a possible side effect. However, blackouts are not typically associated with Prednisone. Other potential causes for her symptoms might include: - Post-surgical complications or residual effects - Medication interactions or side effects from other medications Consult her doctor or neurosurgeon to discuss these symptoms and determine the best course of action.
