I'm been struggling with a painful anal fissure for the past 10 days, and it's been really uncomfortable. I'm really looking for some quick relief from this pain. Do you know any effective home remedies that could help?

My wife's recent USG showed a gallstone the biggest one is 6.7mm. She doesn't have any pain, but she's lost a lot of weight, down to 56 kg over the last 6 months. Does she need surgery, or will medicine be enough? Also, could the stone be causing her weight loss, and how can she regain the weight she's lost?

I've been dealing with diarrhea on and off for over a week and a half now, and in between, my stools have turned this chalky white color. It's got me a bit worried, especially because I'm nursing and don't want to pass anything to my baby, even though she seems alright. I had the stomach flu about three weeks ago and then traveled, and this issue started when I got back. Is it possible that it's linked to the stomach flu, or could it be some kind of viral infection that just flared up again? What's going on and should I be really concerned about this?

I've been having these powder-like stools and some irritation in my abdomen, and it actually happened a couple of months ago too. Could you help me figure out what's going on and how to get rid of it?

You may be experiencing symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). To help manage your symptoms, you can try taking over-the-counter medication such as Imodium (loperamide) to help with diarrhea and Dicyclomine (Bentyl) to help with abdominal cramping. It is important to stay hydrated and maintain a healthy diet with plenty of fiber. If your symptoms persist, it is recommended to consult with a gastroenterologist for further evaluation and management.
