I'm a bit concerned about my recovery after having septoplasty and inferior turbinate reduction surgery two weeks ago. My nose has been really dry and painful when I inhale, and it even vibrates when I breathe heavily. Is this something that will get better soon, or should I be worried?

My 3-year-old son has been suffering from adenoids for the past 10 months, confirmed by his pediatrician. I'm dealing with some pretty bad swelling just below the right side of my jaw, and I'm wondering if it's because of tonsilitis. Is this something serious? The pain in my throat is terrible, and swallowing is almost unbearable right now. I've started on augmentin, reswas, and hexidime gargle on my doctor's advice. Any ideas on how long this swelling might last or if I should be more worried?
