I'm a bit concerned about understanding the difference between the HBsAg test done by the ELISA method and the ELFA method. My wife is HBsAg positive and she's been getting tested every 12 weeks. Her ELFA test results keep changing. If the percentage in the results is decreasing, does that mean she's getting better? Any insights on this would be really helpful.

Ideally there is no recovery from Hbsag if there is decrease in values that say viral load is decreasing but the disease is still there.

I'm dealing with liver cirrhosis and its been really tough these past two months. My doctor mentioned that about 70% of my liver is scarred, but todays report showed the left lobe of my liver is enlarging. Is that a sign of improvement? I'm worried because my SGPT levels are high and I've been taking medication like Cirrosam 400, Obeticholic acid, Ursocol 300, and Evion for the past two months. The only one that seems to help is the Obeticholic acid. Interestingly, my lipid profile is normal and I've tested negative for Hepatitis B and C. My blood sugar levels are also within the normal range. On top of this, I've been dealing with hyperuricemia. Can you tell me how long it might take for my SGPT levels to get back to normal?
