I'm a bit concerned because for the past month my stool has been kind of granular instead of solid. Should I be worried about this? Would love some guidance.

Granular stools for a month can be a concern, and it's great that you're seeking help. Here are some potential causes and next steps:
Potential Causes
- Malabsorption: Issues with nutrient absorption can lead to changes in stool texture.
- Pancreatitis: Inflammation of the pancreas can cause digestive enzyme deficiencies.
- Gastrointestinal infections: Bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections can alter stool consistency.
- Dietary factors: Consuming high amounts of sugar, dairy, or processed foods can affect gut health.
- Underlying medical conditions: Certain conditions, such as celiac disease, Crohn's disease, or ulcerative colitis, can cause changes in stool texture.
Next Steps
- Consult a gastroenterologist: Schedule an appointment with a specialist to discuss your symptoms and determine the underlying cause.
- Stool tests: Your doctor may order stool tests to check for infections, inflammation, or malabsorption.
- Imaging studies: Depending on your symptoms, your doctor may recommend imaging studies, such as an endoscopy or colonoscopy, to visualize your digestive tract.
- Dietary changes: Your doctor may recommend dietary modifications, such as increasing fiber intake or avoiding trigger foods.
- Follow-up appointments: Regular follow-up appointments with your doctor will help monitor your symptoms and adjust your treatment plan as needed.

View allI've had Crohn's disease since 2018 and my recent MRI and colonoscopy show my rectum has narrowed. I'm currently on mesalamine, azathioprine, and Shelcal livogen do you think I'll need surgery for this or can medication help reduce the risk of a rectum blockage?
If narrowing causes blockage risk or worsening symptoms, surgery may be needed—continue meds and monitor closely.

I'm experiencing some weird stuff lately and I'm a bit worried. I have this strange pain around my left breast and the left side of my chest, and it's been quite constant. I've also been dealing with a lot of post-nasal drip and burping, plus this odd flapping sensation on the left side of my abdomen. Do you have any idea what could be going on?

I've been having slight chest pain on both sides for about a month, along with flank pain, and now abdominal pain on both sides for 56 days. My ultrasound showed acalculous cholecystitis, pancreatitis, and a 3mm kidney stone on the right side. Endoscopy revealed gastritis too. Is there any way to treat cholecystitis without stones? I really don't want to go through surgery.
