I'm a bit confused about my medication. I had COVID about a month ago and ended up in the ICU with severe pneumonia for 12 days. Thankfully, I'm home now and feeling healthier, but still having trouble breathing, especially when walking or exercising. My oxygen saturation is around 95-96. My doctor put me on pirfenidone 200 mg, twice a day, and also Foracort 200, twice a day. But I thought pirfenidone was for idiopathic lung fibrosis. Does this mean I might have fibrosis, or is there another reason for prescribing it? I'm really worried about this and would appreciate some insight.

there might be effect of pneumonia as fibrosis,so they might have give tablet perfonidone

The doctor gave me some meds, and I'm feeling better now, but he suggested doing a PFT test if possible. Now, I'm wondering if it makes sense to just do the PFT test on its own, or should I also get a chest X-ray with it? Or maybe a CT scan of the chest would give clearer results? I'd love some guidance on what's best to do next.

I'm feeling really concerned because every night between 6 PM and 3 AM, I start getting a fever accompanied by chills and sweating. After the fever, I find it hard to take deep breaths, only managing about 8 seconds sometimes. Sometimes, the fever even hits in the evening and morning. I'm also experiencing pain on the right side of my chest, especially when I cough or try to take a long breath. I recently got an X-ray, and it mentioned something about a thick-walled cavitory lesion in the right mid-zone with some surrounding consolidation. Does this sound serious? What could it possibly mean for my health?
