I'm a bit worried about my left hand. My fingers have become really cracked and dry, to the point where they burn and bleed, and it only happens during the winter months. The weird thing is, it's just my left hand and not my right. I've used eczema lotion, and it helps a bit if I slather it on before bed, but my fingertips end up feeling like a cat's paw pad, almost like I don't have fingerprints. I do have mild psoriasis on my scalp and back, so I'm wondering if this could be related or something else entirely. Since it started last year around this time, and now it's happening again, I'd love some insight into what might be going on. Any ideas?

You may be experiencing a condition known as hand eczema, which can be exacerbated by psoriasis. To help with the dryness, cracking, and discomfort, I recommend using a prescription-strength corticosteroid cream like Clobetasol (0.05%) twice a day on the affected areas. Additionally, you can use a moisturizer like Cetaphil Restoraderm lotion multiple times a day to keep your skin hydrated. Make sure to protect your hands from harsh chemicals and wear gloves when doing any tasks that involve getting your hands wet. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please follow up with a dermatologist for further evaluation and management.

I've been feeling really worried because ever since I had Dengue back in November 2017, I've noticed a lot more hair falling out than usual. It's been happening every day and it's stressing me out. What do you think I should do? Is this normal after Dengue, or should I be looking into something else to help with the hair loss?

it is not related to fever

I've noticed that my dad has had this wart under his right armpit for quite a while now, maybe a few years. It doesn't bother him since it's not painful, red, or itchy. But the other day, he found another wart under his left armpit. This one hurts when he touches it, although it isn't red or itchy, and there's no pus. Could these warts be a sign of something more serious? Do you think he needs to get it checked out soon?

I've got this annoying cystic acne on one of my buttocks, and it's super painful and inflamed. In the past, I've had cystic acne on my cheek and chest, and my doctor recommended Nadoxin, which worked back then. But now, using Nadoxin on this one doesn't seem to do the trick. Should I stick with Nadoxin, or do I need to try something else?

Considering the severity of your cystic acne on your buttock, it may be beneficial to switch to a more potent medication. I recommend stopping the use of Nadoxin and consulting with your doctor for a prescription of a stronger topical antibiotic like Duac gel. Additionally, an oral antibiotic like Doxycycline may be necessary to help reduce inflammation and control the infection. Make sure to follow your doctor's instructions for proper dosage and duration of treatment.
