I'm a bit worried because my recent ultrasound showed a grade 1 fatty liver. I try to stay active with regular exercise and make sure to drink plenty of water. But I also enjoy having beers on weekends. Should I be concerned about the impact this has on my liver?

I've noticed something strange happening whenever I use the toilet. After I pass stool, the water in the toilet quickly turns yellow, even though my stool itself isn't yellow. On top of that, I've been dealing with some pain in my right abdomen for the past few days. I got a sonography done, and everything looked normal according to the reports. Could you help me understand what's going on?

The changes in the toilet water color and right abdominal pain are not typical symptoms and could indicate a deeper issue related to bile production, liver function, or malabsorption. Even though your sonography was normal, it's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation, especially if symptoms persist. Keep track of any other associated symptoms, such as nausea, fever, changes in stool consistency, or appetite loss, and report them to your doctor.

My stomach has been hurting for the past three days. It's like these cramps and sharp pains that come and go every day, lasting about 5 to 10 seconds before it goes back to normal. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? Could it be related to some kind of gastro issue? What can I do at home to feel better?

It sounds like you might be experiencing mild gastrointestinal discomfort, possibly due to indigestion, gas, or even a mild stomach infection. Try taking an over-the-counter antacid or anti-gas medication, drink warm water, and avoid heavy or spicy foods. If the pain persists or worsens, its best to consult a doctor to rule out other causes.

I'm really concerned because my ultrasound report came back showing hepatomegaly with fatty liver grade 1 and a partially distended gallbladder. My SGPT and SGOT levels are normal, and so is my bilirubin and alkaline phosphate. I do experience light inflammation and occasional pain in my right upper abdomen. I'm worried and feeling a lot of anxiety about this. Could you please tell me what's going on and recommend any medications or treatments I should consider? I'm eager to understand more about my situation.

Your ultrasound shows a mild fatty liver (grade 1) and a partially distended gallbladder, which could be linked to diet or minor gallbladder dysfunction. Since your liver enzymes and bilirubin are normal, its not alarming. Focus on a low-fat, balanced diet and regular exercise, and consult a doctor to discuss potential medications like Ursodeoxycholic acid if needed. Don't worry; this is manageable with lifestyle changes.
