I'm constantly feeling the urge to pee and poop. It's really frustrating because when I try to pee, I have to push really hard and only a tiny bit comes out. When I poop, its incredibly painful because my anus is really swollen and inflamed. I'm stuck in the bathroom and it's becoming unbearable. What's going on with me? Can you help?

Possible Diagnoses*
- Urinary Tract Infection (UTI): Frequent urination, straining while urinating, and minimal urine discharge are common UTI symptoms.
- Prostatitis: Inflammation of the prostate gland can cause urinary symptoms, including frequent urination and straining.
- Proctitis: Inflammation of the rectum can cause painful bowel movements, swelling, and inflammation around the anus.
- Anal Fissure: A small tear in the lining of the anus can cause painful bowel movements, bleeding, and swelling.
Treatment Advice
- Seek Medical Attention: Consult a doctor or a gastroenterologist to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.
- Urinalysis and Stool Tests: Your doctor may order these tests to check for infections, inflammation, or other conditions.
- Antibiotics: If a UTI or prostatitis is diagnosed, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection.
- Pain Management: Your doctor may recommend pain relief medications, such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, to manage discomfort during bowel movements.
- Stool Softeners: To reduce straining during bowel movements, your doctor may recommend stool softeners, such as docusate or psyllium.
- Warm Sitz Baths: Soaking in a warm bath can help reduce inflammation and discomfort around the anus.
- Dietary Changes: Increasing fiber intake, staying hydrated, and avoiding spicy or irritating foods can help manage symptoms.
When to Seek Emergency Medical Attention
- Severe Abdominal Pain: If you experience sudden, severe abdominal pain, seek immediate medical attention.
- Vomiting Blood or Black Tarry Stools: If you vomit blood or pass black, tarry stools, seek emergency medical attention.
- Fever Above 101.5F (38.6C): If you have a fever above 101.5F (38.6C), seek medical attention.

Is it possible to pass a 6mm kidney stone without needing surgery doc I'm really worried about this and want to know my options
Around 90% of small kidney stones (smaller than 6 mm) and 60% of large stones (larger than 6 mm) pass on their own. If you have a large kidney stone or one that's blocking the flow of pee, you'll need to have a procedure to break up and/or remove it
