I'm dealing with a boil near my buttock, kind of close to the anus, and it's been there for the past two days. It's not too big yet but is a bit painful, especially when I sit down. There's just this one boil, but I'm really worried it might grow larger and become more painful. I started taking Augmentin 625 mg once a day at night and so far, I've only taken one tablet last night. Should I keep taking the antibiotics? Is it even necessary? Some of my friends mentioned it might be due to body heatcould that be true? This is the first time I've experienced something like this, and I could really use some advice.

View allI'm really worried about my boyfriend. He developed this small bump in his upper pubic area that looked like a pimple at first. We assumed it was just an ingrown hair. But it's been really painful and just keeps getting bigger. Now it's about the size of my fingertip, bright red, and the center looks hollow, almost like something's eating away at it. We're not sure if it could be a bug bite or what. Do you have any idea what this might be and how we should handle it?
It's essential to consult a SURGEON for an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment. Possible causes of the bump could be: 1. Infected ingrown hair or folliculitis 2. Abscess or boil 3. Cyst or sebaceous cyst 4. Skin infection like cellulitis or erysipelas 5. Insect bite or sting Given the symptoms you described, such as: - Increasing size and pain - Bright red color - Hollow center

I'm a bit concerned because I've noticed these white patches on the skin around my scrotum, penis, and thigh. It's been about 1.5 years since I first saw them, and luckily they haven't grown in size, but the area feels slightly numb. Do you think I should be worried, and what might be causing this?
