I'm dealing with this dark brown pus that's coming from my hand and back, and it's got this really bad smell. Is this something normal that happens sometimes, or should I be worried about it? And what kind of treatment would you recommend for something like this?

Dark brown pus with a foul smell is not normal and indicates a bacterial infection.
Possible Causes
- Folliculitis: Infected hair follicles can cause pus-filled bumps.
- Abscess: A pocket of pus that forms in the skin, often caused by bacterial infections.
- Infected cysts or boils: Blocked pores or oil glands can become infected, leading to pus and a foul smell.
- Cellulitis: A bacterial infection of the skin and underlying tissues.
Treatment
- Antibiotics: Topical or oral antibiotics may be prescribed to treat the bacterial infection.
- Warm compresses: Applying a warm, damp washcloth to the affected area can help bring the pus to a head and encourage drainage.
- Incision and drainage: In some cases, a doctor may need to drain the pus by making a small incision.
- Good hygiene: Keeping the affected area clean and dry can help prevent the spread of infection.

View allI'm dealing with ringworm on and off for the last 6 months and I'm really getting frustrated. I've tried loads of medicines and it sometimes improves, but then it comes back again. It all started when I had a longer-than-usual period, and now every month around that time, it flares up again. I did see a dermatologist, and their treatment almost cleared it up, but when my period hits, it pops back up, and now it seems to be spreading more. Do you have any advice on what's going on or what I should do?

My friend is experiencing a lot of hair fall and seems to be going bald. I'm really curious and a bit worried. Is there a way to actually regrow hair on a bald head?
While it may be challenging to grow hair on a completely bald head, there are some treatment options available that may help stimulate hair growth. One common medication used for male pattern baldness is Minoxidil, which is available in brands like Rogaine. It is typically applied to the scalp twice daily in a 5% solution for men. Another option is Finasteride, which is available in brands like Propecia. It is taken orally in a 1mg dose once daily. These medications may help slow down hair loss and promote some degree of hair regrowth in certain individuals. It is important to consult with a healthcare provider to determine the most suitable treatment plan for your friend's specific situation.

I recently got my serum test results back, and they show my IgM at 0.62 and IgG at 30 on an index where 0.90 is considered non-reactive. I'm not sure what to make of these numbers. Additionally, I also had tests for HIV, VDRL, and hepatitis, and thankfully, those came back non-reactive. Could you help me understand what these results mean, especially about the herpes part? I'm feeling a bit worried and would appreciate any advice or explanation you can provide.
Based on your test results, it indicates that you have a past infection with herpes simplex virus (HSV) as your IgG levels are greater than 30. Since your IgM levels are 0.62, it suggests a recent or current infection. To manage herpes outbreaks and reduce the frequency of recurrences, you can take antiviral medications such as Valacyclovir
