I'm dealing with this dry cough that's been sticking around for about a month now, and I'm starting to wonder if it could be due to allergies. What should I do to feel better?

Question

I'm having a tough time with my breathing because of something that's leaching into my throat, nose, and eyes, but especially my throat. It's causing me to cough really badly, sometimes to the point where I vomit. I even have a weird voice when I breathe. I've seen a few doctors, and they say it's allergies, but they haven't done any tests or analyses. The meds help a bit, but once I stop, the same problem comes back, or even gets worse. They've given me Motemac FX tablets, Furamist nasal spray, and some syrup, but nothing seems to be fixing the root cause. I'm confused about which doctor I should see to finally get to the bottom of this. Should I be asking for specific tests or analyses to find out exactly what's wrong with me? Any advice here?

How can I taper off this combination tablet of Fexofenadine 120 mg and Montelukast 10 mg? Is it possible for me to cut the tablet into four pieces and take one piece each month, or do I need to buy lower doses of Fexofenadine and Montelukast and gradually decrease the mg each month? Anytime I try stopping for a couple of days without tapering, I end up with itching all over my body, which I've never experienced before. I was prescribed this for cold symptoms I get every morning, though I'm fine by the afternoon. They've run several tests, including X-rays, and I'm just trying to figure out the best way to stop taking these meds.

I've been noticing that whenever I touch something colder than the usual temperature, I start to sneeze. It's also happening with the early morning breeze sometimes, giving me that sneezing sensation. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it just a common reaction?
