I'm dealing with genetic hair loss and really need some advice. How should I be taking Essvit 5mg tablets? Would taking it twice a day be more effective? Also, are there any other supplements you might recommend for controlling hair loss and promoting regrowth?

Genetic hair loss can be challenging.
Essvit 5mg Tablets (Finasteride)
- Standard dosage: Take 1 tablet (5mg) once a day, preferably at the same time.
- Twice a day: Not recommended, as it may increase the risk of side effects.
- Consult a doctor: Before starting or adjusting your dosage.
Additional Supplements for Hair Loss
- Biotin supplements: Supports hair growth and strengthens hair follicles.
- Vitamin D supplements: Essential for hair growth, and deficiencies have been linked to hair loss.
- Saw palmetto supplements: May block the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that contributes to hair loss.
- Keratin supplements: Supports hair strength, elasticity, and growth.
Brand Recommendations
- Nature's Bounty Biotin: A reputable brand with minimal side effects.
- Garden of Life Vitamin D: A well-absorbed, plant-based vitamin D supplement.
- Now Foods Saw Palmetto: A high-quality saw palmetto supplement.

View allI'm really concerned about my 7-year-old son who's just started getting these sudden brown spots on his skin. The first one showed up behind his neck, then another near his collarbone, and now there's one on his ribs. There's no itching or pain, and theyre just plain brown, no other colors like blue or anything. Could you help me figure out what's going on?

I'm really feeling overwhelmed because I've been dealing with Vitiligo for 12 years now, and nothing's working. I've tried homeopathy treatments but haven't seen any improvement. It's really frustrating. Is there something else I should be doing or a treatment that's better for managing this? I just want to understand my options and find something that might actually help.
Vitiligo can be challenging to cure, and homeopathy may not have been effective in your case; consider consulting a dermatologist to explore other treatment options, such as phototherapy (narrowband UVB), topical corticosteroids, immunomodulators, or skin grafting, which may help stabilize or repigment affected areas, and also discuss combination therapies and emerging treatments like JAK inhibitors.
