I'm dealing with GERD issues and sometimes it feels like my breath gets stuck. To keep an eye on things, I've started using a pulse oximeter daily to check my oxygen level. But here's the thing, I'm getting some really weird readings. It starts at 98 or 99, but then after 20 to 30 seconds, it suddenly drops to numbers like 79, 89, or even 60, before going back up to 98 or 94. These abnormal readings only last for about 3 to 4 seconds. Other than this sensation like somethings stuck, I'm generally active and dont have other major issues. Should I be concerned about these fluctuating numbers, or is this normal with a pulse oximeter? What's going on?

I'm really worried about my mom's recent health checkup. The ultrasound showed that her gallbladder has quite a few polyps, with one measuring about 15mm. We took the reports to some gastroenterologists, and they think surgery to remove the gallbladder is the way to go. But I'm wondering if there are any alternative treatments or maybe something like homeopathy that might help instead of jumping straight to surgery?

Gall bladder polyp is incidental findings. Any polyp less than 1.5 cms should be observed and follow up to be done. Polyp more than 1.5 cms carries chances of malignancy and needs removal of gall bladder.

I'm dealing with an H. pylori infection and a peptic ulcer. The doctor advised me to take Amox 500mg, Sampraz 40, Metrogyl 400mg, and Claribid 500mg for 15 days. Is this enough to treat the H. pylori? Lately, I've also been experiencing stomach pain. Could you recommend the best test to confirm if the H. pylori infection is still present?
