I'm dealing with a groin infection thats really been bothering me. Ive seen two different dermatologists so far. The first one thought it was ringworm and jock itch and gave me meds like Terbinafine and some others to take for a couple of months. It got better but came back as soon as I stopped the meds. Then, I went to another doctor, who said it was a fungal infection and switched up the medications for me. Its still not completely gone. On top of that, the treatment has darkened my skin around the area, which looks really bad since my natural skin tone is quite fair. I'm stuck and worried. What should I do to properly get rid of this infection and also handle the skin darkening?

I'm currently on acutret tablets for my pimples and I've been following my doctor's advice by not using any other creams except what he prescribed. I had an office event and used a foundation just for that day, and now I'm noticing more pimples. I'm getting nervous because my wedding is in December. Could using that other cream just once really cause this increase in pimples? Can you help me understand what's happening?

Applying foundation cream while using Acutret tablets may have clogged pores, triggered hormonal fluctuations, or irritated your skin, leading to increased pimples; however, it's essential to consult your doctor or dermatologist to determine the exact cause and adjust your skincare routine to ensure your skin clears up before your wedding in December.

I'm dealing with chickenpox and the scabs have dried, but they haven't started falling off yet. I scratched a few of the blisters earlier and I'm really worried they'll turn into scars. Should I wait until I'm fully recovered to see a dermatologist, or do you think I should make an appointment sooner to prevent any marks?

You can wait until the scabs have fallen off and the skin has fully healed before consulting a dermatologist. However, if you've scratched the blisters, it's best to consult a dermatologist sooner to minimize the risk of scarring. They can assess the affected areas and provide guidance on: 1. Topical treatments to reduce inflammation and promote healing. 2. Scar prevention and management strategies. Schedule an appointment within the next 7-10 days to ensure timely intervention.
