I'm dealing with an itchy patch on my skin around the groin, and it's forming scales and wrinkles. I've tried all types of fungal and bacterial creams, but nothing seems to work. I'm really worried and not sure what to do next. Could you please help me figure out what's going on and how I can get some relief?

our symptoms are suggestive of tinea cruris(jock itch). Tine cruris is a fungal infection in the groin area. It affects mostly adult men. It's caused by a type of fungus called dermatophytes. Dermatophytes like to grow on skin that's moist and warm and thrive in areas where skin comes into contact with other skin, such as the groin or between the toes. You will have to keep the groin dry, have an antifungal tablet, antacid and a topical antifungal over the area. The following steps may help:

  • Avoid using oily skin products
  • Reduce your exposure to the sun. Exposure to sun may trigger or worsen an episode and a tan makes the rash more visible.
  • Do not wear tight clothing.
  • Change undergarments regularly
  • Wear breathable fabrics such as cotton to decrease the sweating.
  • Keep areas where there is sweat accumulation dry regularly and apply powder in those areas to reduce the moisture. If the problem is persistent or worsens I would advise you to meet a dermatologist.

I'm a bit worried about my health because I've been shaking my penis every day. I've noticed I'm not feeling as good as I used to. Could this be causing my health issues? And if so, how can I stop this habit?

Shaking or overstimulating the penis frequently can lead to soreness, fatigue, and reduced energy, potentially affecting overall health if excessive. Try to reduce the frequency gradually and engage in other activities like exercise or hobbies to manage urges. If it's difficult to control, consider talking to a psychologist for additional support.
