I'm dealing with an itchy rash on my scrotum that started last night. It's painful and feels worse with sweating, like prickly heat. I'm really uncomfortable and worried. Can you suggest any home treatments or remedies that might help relieve this?

To treat jock itch at home, you can use over-the-counter antifungal creams such as Lotrimin Ultra or Lamisil AT. Apply the cream to the affected area twice a day for at least 2 weeks. In addition to using antifungal creams, it is important to keep the affected area clean and dry. Make sure to wash the area with mild soap and water, and pat it dry thoroughly. Wearing loose-fitting underwear made of breathable fabric like cotton can also help reduce sweating and irritation. If your symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of home treatment, or if they worsen, it is important to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment.

View allI'm noticing that the skin on my fingertips is suddenly getting thicker and kind of dry. Its happening on both my hand and foot fingers. I used to have really soft fingertips before, so I'm a bit concerned about this change. The skin is so thick that I actually have to shape them. I generally have oily skin, so this is quite new for me. What could be causing this?

I've got a patch of alopecia areata near my left ear, about the size of a 1-rupee coin, where no hair is growing. My dermatologist started me on tricort 10mg injections and gave me Morr F 5 and dicaris adults tablets. I've had the tricort injection twice now. Since I know these are steroids, I'm a bit worried about whether it's safe for me at 33 with no other health issues. Can you tell me about any long-term side effects of these treatments and if I should stick with this plan?

I'm wondering if it's safe to use Laboderm OC ointment on my face to help get rid of spots. I've been really self-conscious about these spots and I'm not sure if this ointment is the right choice. Could you let me know if it's actually effective or if there might be any side effects I should be aware of? I've heard different things and just want to make sure I'm making a good decision for my skin.
Yes ,u can use laboderm Oc ointment since it has anti-inflammatory property, any side-effects stop the medication and dermatologist opinion is advised to the patient.
